QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS WITH BOBBY LASTER, GENERAL MANAGER
OF ETONIC’S BOWLING DIVISION.

WHY DID ETONIC DECIDE TO BECOME A SPONSOR OF THE PBA TOUR?

BL - Our goal is to become the leading bowling shoe manufacturer. The PBA presented us with a unique opportunity to take a leadership role with this sponsorship. It’s another example of how committed we are to  our business and promoting bowling at the highest level.

What are some of the major parts of this sponsorship?

BL -  Event entitlement - the third stop of the tour will be the Etonic Championship. We will receive commercial spots on all ESPN telecasts throughout the season. We will sponsor Team Etonic comprised of PBA stars Pete Weber, Mike Machuga and Ritchie Allen. They will be using a specifically designed Etonic spareball emblazoned with the Etonic logo. In addition, we be presenting an on air instructional segment called ‘The Etonic Edge’, and receive very visible signage on each telecast.

How important is the PBA to the sport of bowling?

BL - The PBA features the highest level of competition in our sport. Competing on the PBA Tour is the goal of every aspiring bowler at some point in their career. They have the best bowlers in the world. The PBA telecasts have a very rich and valued history and provide the best connection to the general consumer.

Being a 5 – time PBA Regional Champion and the 1996 Western Region Player of the Year, you have notable experience as a professional bowler. Did this experience influence the decision to partner with the PBA?

BL - I have been a PBA member for over 15 years and from the very beginning of Etonic’s Bowling Division, we focused on the PBA players. My past experience, both on tour and in business, have helped me tremendously in developing our high end product lines and in forming our professional staff.

What can we expect from the PBA Etonic Championship?

BL -  More visibility for the Etonic brand, not only for our bowling division but the entire company. This sponsorship will create a greater awareness of our brand and products.

What makes Etonic Worldwide an industry leader?

BL - Etonic has four separate divisions: Running, Walking, Golf and Bowling. Our product development and marketing teams work in unison. We have personnel in each of the divisions who have played their respective sports at the highest level. This translates into great products.
